Provost

The Provost will serve as the Chief Academic Officer and will lead the academic mission of the university and its four community college campuses at an exciting time of growth and innovation in NMSU history. Chief Legal Affairs Officer

NMSU’s Chief Legal Affairs Officer serves as a member of the institution’s senior leadership team. The Chief Legal Officer is responsible for positioning the University General Counsel unit to be a strategic contributor to the University and achievement of its mission through ongoing collaboration with University leadership, regular engagement with University staff, training, education, and timely policy guidance. The General Counsel provides management and oversight of NMSU’s broad and complex legal responsibilities, including, but not limited to: business transactions including procurement; federal, state and local regulatory matters; internal policy development; research compliance; athletics; employment law; litigation oversight and support; intellectual property law; academic affiliation agreements and international academic arrangements; campus safety and security; privacy; New Mexico Inspection of Public Records Act; New Mexico Open Meetings Act; and student affairs. Strategic Chief Financial Officer

The Strategic CFO will, in collaboration with the Chancellor and NMSU’s executive leadership team, set enterprise-wide strategy, define and identify innovative approaches to achieving these strategic goals, define the financial objectives of individual entities and areas, drive operational efficiency and create a climate of accountability. The SCFO reports directly to the Chancellor and will provide strategic leadership for the enterprise’s financial and administrative management, including planning, administering, and monitoring the overall financial plans, policies and programs. The SCFO will have dotted line reporting to the NMSU President and will collaborate closely with NMSU’s CFO. Learn more

Doña Ana Community College President

The President serves as the campus Chief Executive Officer and reports to NMSU System Chancellor. Administrators, who report directly to the Chancellor, serve at the will of the Chancellor. The President performs the duties of a community college president including providing strong, decisive and energetic leadership that meets the mission of the campus and its satellite locations.
